How to Have Great Hair

If you want healthy hair that shines with all it's strength then read on! These steps are simple and natural tips for healthy hair.
Wash your hair the recommended amount.
Clean hair is healthy hair. Do not wash every day or you will ruin the hair's cuticles. Massage shampoo into the scalp. Do this for about 40 seconds, wash out thoroughly and then repeat once more. pour conditioner into your hand filling the palm, rub from the tips of your hair to the root covering all your hair. If you want softer silkier looking hair leave the conditioner on for 4 minutes. You can give yourself a deep conditioning treatment by sectioning the hair and covering it in conditioner. It is best to let your hair dry naturally; but if necessary use a heat protection spray which you spray on the hair while it is still wet and then blow dry, this will also protect hair from curlers/straighteners etc.

Dry hair carefully.
Do not wring it with the towel- blot instead. Also do not brush your hair while it is wet- instead use a wide-toothed comb. Take your brush and brush a small chunk of the front of you.

Eat healthy foods that aid the hair in staying strong and lustrous. Your diet can also prevent hair loss.

*Essential fatty acids, especially omega-3 fatty acids, play a key role in skin, hair, and nails. You should eat some of these foods, which are rich in omega-3, every day:
o Salmon, tuna, mackerel, and other fatty fish
o Flaxseed oil
o Walnuts and almonds

* Vitamins B-6, B-12, and folic acid are also important to your hair. Vegetarians and vegans often don't get enough of these vitamins.
o Good sources of vitamin B-6 include bananas, potatoes (both white and sweet), and spinach.
o Eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, especially citrus fruits and tomatoes, will help you get folic acid. Whole grain and fortified grain products, beans, and lentils also contain folic acid.
Major sources of B-12 include meat, poultry, fish, and dairy products.

* Protein is also critical for keeping hair healthy, but many people don't get enough. Lean meat like fish, chicken, eggs, and soy products are good sources of protein; eat one serving every day.
* Trace minerals like magnesium and zinc also affect hair- it's a good idea to take a daily multivitamin.

Have a haircut every four to six weeks. This will remove split ends and learn how to prevent split ends.

Style your hair at most four times a week to avoid damaging it. A simple braid or an elegant one can be worn on days when you don't want to or shouldn't style your hair. It is easiest to add gel or mousse to curly hair when it is wet, instead of laboriously straightening it with a flat iron. Wavy hair can go either way and straight hair is low maintenance.

Wear hair accessories. Clips or barrettes can compliment beautiful hair. Coordinate them with your outfits or your personality.
